[The hum of Nikola Chang's camera has always been a strange comfort to her throughout her days exploring empty buildings and derelict architecture. Sometimes, she would pay an assistant to tag along with her and take photographs while she filmed, but more often than not, she went solo. Despite all the fun and personal exhilaration and awe she gained from this, there was an end goal in mind. It was always there, so close, but still very far out of her reach.

Nikola is in an abandoned theme park and scrolling through the photos she had taken with her digital camera, getting rid of redundant shots. She is strolling at the same time and only stops when she feels her eyelids start to warm up.]

Tch.

[She looks around in every direction before setting her gaze on one spot.]

Alright... Let's give this zone a try.

[She takes a deep breath and takes a step forward...

Only to find herself in... Well, it is and isn't supposed to be the theme park, but what was wrong was that this wasn't the theme park at all, whatsoever. The architecture was different, the atmosphere was not that of an abandoned site, not completely, but... Was she even on Earth anymore.]

...

[Nikola silently puts away her camera into her backpack and instead takes out her phone, turning on the voice recorder and mumbles into it.]

March 2nd, the time is 3:33 PM... Do you ever get the feeling that you're in a galaxy far, far away? Could just be me though.

Uh....

[Well, the planet name was Bogano. Mostly green plateaus with large dragon-like creatures far in the background making their noises. Getting around was a lot of jumping but in between the crevices was flat land that was wet and filled with tall grass.]

...are you? [It was a curious question to ask him. Or, well, he figured he stumbled in on her so it was more a general thing.]

This place is pretty remote but not exactly off the charts, if you know what I mean.

[Nikola, startled, whips around, and for a second her eye color changes for just a second, but reverts back to brown just as quickly. Pocketing the phone, her eyes narrow at this unknown person.]

... Well, call me crazy, because I don't know where the hell I am.

[She wrinkles her nose, putting her hands on her hips as she surveys the area and then landing her gaze back on him.]

I'm not the brightest bulb, but I don't think this place is on any chart I know of. Who're you anyway?

I won't call you crazy, I promise.

[He would never be that rude. Unless someone else was and they deserved it. But it wasn't the Jedi way.]

I'm Cal. Cal Kestis. If this place isn't on your charts, I could probably arrange an upgrade. But that would be a surprisingly old chart.

...

[She looks at him with a straight face. And out of her mouth...]

Cal Whatsits?

[Speaking of rude]

You can just call me 'Cal'. The rest is pretty superfluous.

[He kind of brushes past that.]

So how did you end up here?

Mm. Well, call me Nikola.

[Well, if nothing else, Nikola has to acknowledge to herself that this Cal doesn't seem to be a bad guy.

Another few obvious points are that she's not in a Dusk Zone and definitely nowhere on Earth, but it didn't seem beneficial to point that out right away. She opts to try and answer his question as she scratches her cheek.]

I... Uh... I walked.

[It's not a lie!]

I'm an explorer of sorts, but sometimes if I'm not careful, I tend to wander off into corners I'm not familiar with.

It, uh....Nikola...

[He hates to point out the obvious but he's going to do it. He's absolutely going to do it.]

...it doesn't take a Jedi to know you didn't walk here. There's no civilization left on this planet.

[She looks displeased, even more so.]

I'm not lying. You calling me a liar?

[and Jedi what now, how about we get back to that later although that does kind of ring a bell for her

that said, she's crossing her arms and looking huffy]

Not at all. I'm just saying that you're probably ignorant of the situation.

[Which was probably just as bad. But far less confrontational.]

[She sighs and uncrosses her arms.]

Fine. I mean, let's just say neither of us are wrong... Cause I really don't know where I am...

[She looks back and forth again... It's a really interesting place and she could worry about finding her way back later. She takes out her smartphone and waves it at Cal.]

You said there's no civilization here right? Think it's okay to take pictures while we walk and talk?

I won't mind but be careful of the wildlife.

[They can be aggressive. Between burrowing lizards the size of dogs and large tick looking creatures, who knew.]

But, since you don't know, this place is called Bogano.

That so... [She mumbles to herself as she turns her phone on, switching to the camera app.] Don't remember that from the movies.

I hope you're not too troubled by seeing a human face here since this place isn't supposed to have anyone on here. Thanks for not making a big deal by the way.

[And she's already starting off in one direction.]

Troubled, no. Surprised, mostly.

[He might as well lay it out.

And follow after her. She didn't seem prepared for random animals who wanted to eat anything that walked by.]

What kind of reaction were you expecting?

[Sometimes, Nikola's sense of fear is low, which is a cause for concern... But enough about that.]

Maybe some loud and indignant questioning. Like, "Who the hell are you?" or, "Where the hell did you come from?"

[She snaps a few scenic pictures of the sky.>]

To be fair, I'm also not treating this like a big deal as I should...

[Overreacting, that is. Which, from what he could tell, her description was exactly that.]

I suppose both of us are a bit more level than each of us think.

[It was an observation, at least.]

I'm not really levelheaded. If anything, I'm probably screaming internally and you wouldn't even know it.

[She sounds so deadpan though.]

Not to destroy your ambitions but if you were internally screaming, I could probably hear it in the Force.

[Being a Jedi and all. Though he's not trying to destroy anyone's sense of privacy.]

Oh shit. You can really do that?

[Yes, he's a Jedi, Niko...]

So if I was singing a song in my head, could you hear it too?

That's not really how it works. Extreme emotions I can feel. Anything else is way out of my reach.

[No harm in being honest about it.]

Ah. Well, I can't say I'm a person of extreme emotions so you're probably gonna have a hard time reading me either way.

[She nimbly makes her way over a ledge so she can kneel down on the other side and take some pictures of the plants.]

Hm. Guess grass is just grass even in another galaxy.

[Though out of a grass clump, a group of lizard looking creatures come scampering out, mostly to run away. They didn't seem like anything to fear, though.]

Careful. Sometimes there's aggressive creatures out there.

Guh!

[She jumps again, mostly surprised by the double set of eyes on the lizard creatures.]

The heck? What do they need that many eyes for?!

[She takes a picture of them anyways, geez]

Beats me. I'm not a wildlife expert.

[He just dabbles in archaeology.]

Maybe you could look into that.

I mean, I could... But I also think I should look for a way home. Somehow.

Any idea where I could get started? Being on a planet that doesn't have an actual civilization anymore doesn't seem like a good place to begin, but it's what I got apparently.
