🌹✨ In This Town
BLACKGALE
STEINBECK HOUSE
The dwelling of the Emerald Witch. It's a comforting but mysterious house surrounded by a gorgeous flower garden. Inside Amelia keeps many wind chimes on her living room ceiling and there is a hallway that has more rooms than possible which include a library, greenhouse, bath house, and general storage. Rooms will be added or subtracted as the house sees fit. It used to belong to her mentor and therefore has many mysterious enchantments from before her time.
A lot of the neighborhood cats like to hang out around her house periodically. Chatty cats, in fact.

IVORY PARK
Ivory Park is a beautiful park with plenty of trees and greenery and a bubbling pond. It is known for the white roses that decorate the park and is a hub of activity for visitors and families. For some reason, there are many crows that live in the park. These birds are Amelia's eyes, and she pays them accordingly with her magic hair.
IVORY CHURCH
Ivory Church is located within Ivory Park. Every Sunday morning a service is held for the more religiously inclined. The building is full of peace and serenity, almost unnaturally so (it might have to do with the man who fervently prays in the corner of the farthest pew that can be seen during early Sunday mornings). It is also a popular venue for proposals and marriage ceremonies.
BLUE MOON LAKE
This lake is a bit of a drive to the outskirts of town. Its name comes from the local myth that says that the reflection of a full moon upon the lake's surface looks blue. Unbeknownst to them, there is in fact a lake creature that appears during a full moon and the Emerald Witch will periodically feed it to make sure it never emerges from the water.
BLACKGALE HIGH SCHOOL
A fine looking educational facility. Amelia Steinbeck works as a high school English Language Arts and AP Literature teacher here. This school is known to have an exceptional teaching staff and overall friendly atmosphere. Notably, it is one of the few locations in Blackgale where the supernatural will avoid completely due to Ms. Steinbeck's countermeasures.
BLACKGALE PUBLIC LIBRARY
The public library is about as old as the town itself. Keep your voices down, the librarian Quentin Anderson keeps a beady eye out for the loudmouths. Coincidentally he is also on good terms with Amelia because of her donations to the library's collection or to programs. The co-librarian, Gregoire Renaud is a rather odd man whose nose is always in the books. Don't try to look at his face. And don't forget to return your books, or else you'll suddenly have a very bad week of nightmares.
BLACKGALE CLOCKTOWER
The clock tower is a historical building where visitors can walk up the stairs to see the interior of the clock and its gears. Each weekend when the clock strikes at every hour a different tune is played that can be heard all around the downtown area. Located near the Community Center, which is a multi-purpose building used for town meetings, theatrical plays, after school activities, auctions, and the works! The building is fairly large and has a playground for children in the back.
Downtown Blackgale
The downtown area has a movie theater, clothing boutiques, cafes, and other unique shops scattered throughout the area. Businesses of interest are The Dark Beanstalk Cafe, the Red Divine, a classy evening bar with a mysterious and alluring singer who only performs once a month at midnight. It's run by Aiden Redford and his wife Bianca Redford. Last but not least, is the Diamond Plate Sports Bar a spot for beer, hearty grub, and sports ball! Also has pool tables, darts, and karaoke nights.
BISTRO BRIAR
Years ago, Bistro Briar was a rundown diner about to close down due to lack of business. It was to Amelia's credit that the place is still up and running and has now transitioned into an exceptional bistro-styled restaurant. The restaurant is owned by the Maxwell family and it's not uncommon to see the family members working there.
